As the young girl sits in the back seat of her parents car her mind begins to wander. She thinks of how long they have been in this car. It seems like days even though it has only been two hours. Looking to the front seat of the car, she sees a change in her fathers expression. Suddenly, she hears the sound that she has heard many a time before. It is the roar of a motorcycle. Not just any motorcycle, but a Harley. She knows the power that they inspire, and she loves the thought of someday being able to ride behind a man who has that power in his hands. She glances back and sees a man on a blue Hog, his hair flying back with this wind, and she imagines that she is sitting behind him. As he passes her car, she waves to him and gives him the thumbs up sign. He smiles at her and returns the salute, then he gives a twist to the throttle and flies by the car. The young girl sits back in her seat and closes her eyes dreaming of what it will be like when she is old enough to find her own way, and to ride with such a man that she has just seen. Just as she is about to drift off into her own little world, she hears the sound again. Opening her eyes she looks to see if the man on the Hog has slowed down to let her have another look. She looks ahead of the car and there is the blue bike, but it is too far ahead for it to be heard. She glances back and there she spies the source of the music. A beautiful burgundy colored Harley. On the tank is a picture of a chili-pepper sitting on a Hog. Flames fly from the pepper as if it is burning with speed. Then she looks up at the rider and her jaw drops. There, sitting on the bike is a WOMAN. Never has she thought of what it would be like to control the power of a Hog herself. Her mind races with the thought. The woman smiles at the girl and gives her a wink. She mouths the word, that the young girl will forever swear that she really heard, "Someday, someday you will ride." It was as if she knew what the girl was feeling. Just then the woman on the bike tore away with a mighty roar. She pulled up next to the man and off they went. The young girl never forgot that day, and when she grew to be a young woman she did get a Harley. She learned to ride and was as happy as any could hope to be. Whenever she started her bike, she always rubbed the side of the tank that had the words "Looking for a hot pepper". And as the bike would roar to life she would say to herself, "Thank you PepperLady, thank you". By:
